who we are
Hello, friend. Welcome to the fam!
I'm Rachel Veronica Kapanga, the woman behind A Cup of Jesus. I gave my life to Christ at the age of 17, and I believe that to be the best decision of my life. Jesus did not just save my soul; He gave me back purpose and the desire to live again. He showed me that after the storm, beauty could be found again.
I’m deeply passionate about the Kingdom, preaching the Gospel, and reaching people exactly where they are.
Whether you stumbled across this space by accident or came searching for something deeper, I don’t believe it’s a coincidence. God has a way of leading us right where we need to be, even when we don’t recognize it at first.
A Cup of Jesus was born out of a generation crying out—not for more noise or surface-level answers, but for more of God. I saw the ache. I felt it too. And in that ache, God stirred something in me—a desire to create a space that feels like home for the hungry-hearted.
I know what it’s like to go to church, pray, read your Bible, and still feel like something is missing. To search for answers about the things we are scared to ask or that are considered 'taboo.' To want Jesus, not just sermons. To want more of God and not know where to start. So, if that is you, you are exactly where you need to be.
I am a believer—flawed, growing, but deeply in love with Jesus—who wants to see others walk in healing, in wholeness, in authority, in power, and in holiness. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. But I know the One who does. And I want to walk with you as you seek Him for yourself.
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”
—Psalm 42:1
So stay awhile. Pour a cup. There’s room for you at the table.
