Dare: A Poem on Choosing Courage Over Fear

What if it doesn’t work?
What if I end up hurt?
What if this goes wrong,
and what if that falls apart?

life is too short
to keep standing still
at the edge of every possibility,
too afraid to cross the bridge
built over the what ifs in your mind.

Life is unpredictable,
and that is exactly what makes it beautiful.
Not because it always turns out easy,
but because it carries surprises
we could never have planned for ourselves.

Learn to appreciate the rainy days
as much as you love the sunny ones,
because without the rain,
the flowers would never bloom
as beautifully as they do.

Pessimism is a thief.
It steals the treasures
hidden inside risk,
the beauty tucked inside uncertainty,
the quiet reward that comes
when you choose courage over fear.

Sometimes, the greatest loss
is not failure.
It is letting fear convince you
to never begin at all.

So dare.
Dare to move.
Dare to do.
Dare to silence every negative what if
that has made a home in your mind,
and choose, instead,
to believe that maybe, just maybe,
something beautiful is waiting
on the other side of uncertainty.
